Good Friday Gift
The Church throughout the centuries has chosen Good Friday as the day to present a special offering to God as a sacrifice of praise. Throughout the season of Lent, everyone at City of Light is invited to prepare to give generously over and above our regular giving to support the work of the church in our community and in the nations.
1. Talk and pray with a friend or spouse and ask the Lord, “How are you asking me to give generously and sacrificially?”
2. Fast from a daily or weekly purchase and then save if for the Good Friday Gift.
3. If you have children, talk with your kids about giving up something you would normally do giving toward the Good Friday Gift together. You could create a Good Friday Gift jar or box for your dining room table where you can collect change, allowance, etc.
Give online from Friday 3/29 - 4/06 by selecting City of Light as your campus and “Good Friday Gift” as the designation fund.
Give at a service by a check to City of Light Anglican Church, with "Good Friday Gift" in the memo line.
