Ash Wednesday Service

Wednesday, February 26, 7pm
Hill Elementary (724 Pennsylvania Ave.)
Childcare for five and under for first half of service.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a forty-day period of preparation for the Great Feast of Easter. On Ash Wednesday, we will kneel before the Lord, confess our sins, and believe the Gospel that through Jesus’ death and resurrection God forgives all those who repent.

Prayer or Confession

Wednesday, February 26, 6pm - 6:30pm, Hill Elementary
Friday, April 10, 2pm - 2:30pm, 6pm - 6:30pm, Hill Elementary

Individual prayer or confession will be offered before the service. The Bible tells us to confess our sins to one another and pray, that we may be healed. Praying together or confessing to a pastor or another believer is one way we both follow this teaching and experience the grace of God’s forgiveness healing us.
