Baptism

What Is Baptism?

We welcome everyone—adults, students, children, and infants—into the family of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. In baptism we are united to Christ in his death and resurrection, become members in the Church, receive God's grace and forgiveness, and are blessed with new life in the Holy Spirit.

What Is a Renewal of Your Baptism?

Each time we celebrate baptism, the entire congregation has the opportunity to renew their vows. Additionally, you may have been baptized when you were younger, but never entered into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. Or maybe you haven't been following Jesus for a season. If you’re coming to faith afresh, renewing your baptism publicly is a sign that you are choosing the God who chose you when you were baptized.

What Is the Process?

We meet with each person to help them prepare for their baptism in a way that fits their age and faith journey.

To begin a preparation process for your baptism or to ask any questions, email baptism@cityoflightanglican.org.
